Together, We Can Prevent Drowning
Before It Happens
Your support helps train first responders, educate families, and stop needless water-related tragedies across Florida—because there is no cure for drowning, only prevention.
Drowning is the leading cause of death for children ages 1–4. In 2025, Florida experienced a record 119 fatal drownings—a number none of us should accept. More must be done.
Swim Life recently partnered with Seminole County Government to develop and deliver a drowning prevention and water safety training for first responders. Through this effort, we trained 200 Seminole County firefighters, equipping them with practical knowledge to identify hazards, educate families, and make a real impact in their communities. The feedback was phenomenal.
Because of that success, we have now been invited to provide the same training to Lake Mary Fire Department, Winter Park Fire Department, Osceola County Fire Rescue, and the Osceola County Sheriff’s Office.
However, there is no budget allocated for these trainings. This is why we have created Aquatic Safety Advocates. A non-profit focused solely on drowning prevention and water safety. We are relying entirely on donations to cover the cost of instruction and the drowning prevention materials placed in each fire station.
There is no cure for drowning, only prevention. Your support helps us reach those on the front lines and prevent tragedies before they happen.
If you are able, please consider making a donation to help us continue this lifesaving work. Together, we can put an end to needless drownings.
With gratitude,
