My name is David Wiggins, and I am honored to serve alongside Aquatic Safety Advocates in a mission that is deeply personal to me: saving lives through water safety education and drowning prevention. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working at the intersection of healthcare, nonprofit leadership, and community impact. From leading annual multimillion dollar fundraising efforts to building partnerships that supported lifesaving blood donations and medical technologies, I have seen firsthand what is possible when purpose-driven organizations and committed partners come together. Yet no professional experience has felt more urgent or meaningful than the work we do at Aquatic Safety Advocates. 

Drowning is fast. It is silent. And in almost all cases, it is preventable. Every statistic represents a family forever changed by tragedy, and that reality is what fuels our work every day. At Aquatic Safety Advocates, we focus on prevention before a tragedy occurs. We educate parents and caregivers, equip first responders, and provide swim scholarships to families who otherwise could not access quality instruction for their children. Our programs are practical, evidence-based, and grounded in the belief that every child deserves the chance to be safe around water, regardless of circumstance.

I have spent my career helping organizations grow sustainably, steward donor trust responsibly, and create measurable outcomes. I now bring that same commitment to Aquatic Safety Advocates. Both my professional and volunteer experiences have reinforced my belief that lasting change only happens through partnership and true collaboration.
